TOTE PATTERN:  This elegant small tote/purse has loads of texture and uses a technique of “tucking” six stitches into one forming a puffy texture on one side and a diamond/purl pattern on the opposite side. This stitch is attractive on both sides and the reverse side is used to form the attractive top band of this small tote/handbag. You may also decide to reverse this and create a totally different look to your tote.

HAT PATTERN: Warm and soft, with loads of texture, this hat uses a technique of “tucking” six stitches into one forming a puffy texture on one side and a diamond/purl pattern on the opposite side. This stitch is attractive on both sides.

-+1 STITCH INCLUDED:  The Diamond Tuck Stitch as developed by Nicole F. Cox. Charts are included plus directions on how to get the best results from this stitch. This stitch includes flat knitting and knitting in the round so that the loomer can develop their own patterns using this stitch.

LOOM:  3/8” peg spacing, round or adjustable loom with 55 pegs needed, Hat 80, 72, 64 pegs needed. Hat is knit in the round. The tote is knit flat.

LEVEL:  Confident Beginner. Although this stitch is not complicated, it can take a little practice. Note: There is no video at this time for this stitch but full directions are included.

MEASUREMENTS:  HAT fits teens and adult women/average men 18”/45.7 cm – 22 ½”/57.2 cm (80 peg loom), 16”/40.6 cm-20”/50.8 cm (72 peg loom), 14”/35.6 cm -18”/45.7 cm (64 pegs). 84 to 88 pegs is recommended for large men/women over 22 ½”/57.2 cm head measurement (4 sts = 1 inch if meeting gauge). TOTE comes in one size only.
